If the power were in my hands, I would change the world completely. Firstly, I want to change the presidents from all around the world because I want to find men who can maintain people with a job in their country and they stop immigrations and I would help them to put on end to famine. I would stop wars in the world and I would help people to understand each other. Secondly, I want to stop deforestation and I would convince people to plant many trees. I would help endangered animals with new areas to live in and perpetuate their species and I would stop poaching. (by Ionut Razvan Zota, 16 years old, Student from Romania)
'Let's change the world' is one thing that we all want it. But how we will change if we choose this? It would be great not to be corrupt and all things go well, be all correct, don't feel embarrased, walk smiling on the street, it would be great to say what we think , as well, but I think it would as a whole chaos. I would like to do everything is possible to be peace and harmony, to be a better place to live in,without any strife, deceit and theft! If people don't want to change, who am I to stand in their way? I think it's good as it is. Isn't it wonderful, isn't it perfect, but maybe it doesn't have to be different. (Ana Maria Gavrila, 14 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power were in my hands I would like to change a lot of things, because nowadays we are going in a way which is not good for our future. Firstly, I would like to give to the youngest families a house were they could live in peace without paying rates all life and were they could grow their children. Secondly, I would change the way in which money are win in the world, a lot of people live with a small salary mean while more than they exist people who win a very big salary, a huge one compared with the mimim salary. Also I would like to create opportunities for children, teenagers and all people from the world to travel, to see and to meet other culture, to learn from the best, and in this way I would create a society with good perspectives, a society which love to live. (by Emilian Florin Vlad, 33 years old, Free Profesional from Romania)
If I had the power to change the world, I would change the way it is led and I would change the politicians. I wish to build a new world, a better place for all people. The world must be led by good and modest people, people who are not judgemental. If I could change the world I would build houses for everybody, I would give them money and a reason to live. (by Mihail Chiosa, 19 years old, Student from Republica Moldova)
Civilisation, I think it implies education at all levels. I can easily spot the difference between someone with a restricted wiew of the world and the people that are sometimes marginalized for their better way of thinking. But it shouldn’t be like that, because it wasn’t people’s choice not to have a good example to follow. Those ’’outsiders’’ are the answer to society’s problems as they were the ones to led the human kind to evolution in the past. If I had the power to change something I would let all the people have acess to education,so that the world would be as it should, civilised. (by Codrin Georgian Burz, 16 years old, Student from Romania)
If I had the power to change the world I would impose first five basic rules: 1. All people to be equal between them, 2. Each of us should respect the others regardless of race, gender and origin. 3. Students must respect teacher and they in turn should understand their students, 4. Stop violence, 5. Pupils should take care of the planet and their lives. This is my perfect world!!! (by Elena Madalina Irimia, 14 years old, Student from Romania)
Firstly, I would like to change the presiden, because he haven`t done anything and I would like to change him for an honest man. Secondly, I would like to bring back a small part form Ceasescu. Thirdly, I want to change all politicians, because they went at the job for more sleep. Besides, I would like as the prime minister to repair roads because a part of our money go to servicing the cars. What`s more, I would like to have a king to help the government. Lastly, I would like to have cleanes cities and better conditions, also I would like people to be more courteous and have more fun. (by Cosmin Calin Fonoca, 15 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power were in my hands I would like to change people’s mentality because it will be a benefit in society. More exactly I mean racism and how can ruin relationships between people. We should love unconditionally our fellows no metter what their colors are. Something that would help to stop this,is introducing a new subject in schools, where students can learn about every race and also about the difference between them. In this way the new generations could understand and love each other, it means that this will improve their ways to see this problem. (by Sarah Madalina Latea, 15 years old, Student from Romania)
To begin with, I would definitely change the attitude of every single person. I would really enjoy a world full of happy smiling people that would not be scared by somebody who tries to get in touch with him or being embarrassed of others just because it looks stupid to sing while walking on the street, or dance, or something else. I would also change people’s malice. No more people will hate anyone, no more discrimination, no more having fun on others and no more boring jobs. Everybody will discover their talents and they will do what they like. So finally, in my world, everybody will be unstoppable! Everything will be magic, and all wishes will come true, just because of this lifestyle. (by Robert Alexandru Moisuc, 17 years old, Student & DJ from Romania)
The world we live in is not perfect. I see a perfect world as a place where all people smile. Now, many people are sad because of conflicts and wars. The modern world is bad and superficial because people are more interested in money and wealth than in the spiritual aspects to life. A wonderful world is one in which we aren’t so busy and we have more time to think of what makes us happy. A better world can be seen just through a mirror and we are trying hard to make it real. (by Denisa Gavrila, 12 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power wew in my hands I would save the nature, I would make Earth a paradise without blocks and cars. I would plant for every birth a tree. I would give bikes for everybody and I’d restrict the time for using cars. I would convert the people on a new life style, full of nature and fresh air and time spent in the middle of nature. I think the nature is the key for a beautiful future. Protecting the nature will bring us hopes fr a better life. If the power were in my hands, i would stop killing the nature. (by Ana Maria Craciun, 18 years old, Student from Romania)
Over the world there are people who have no home or what to eat, but they are not helped. We can easily raise money for them: people could volunteer to build houses. At big shows tickets may be more expensive, so money could be collected people can donate items in good condition that they no longer use or money in a special bank account for the poor. If lifestyle of the poor would be known by many, the world would be more careful to their needs and help them more there a people who live in sewers and children who can’t go to school, but no one know them. Instead of spending money on trifinels better give it to someone who needs it. Try to look at the world through the eyes of those who have no home! (by Valentin Gheorghita, 16 years old, Student from Romania)
For the beginning I wish I changed people attitude about environmental problems, making a safe space for future generations. I could try to make people to reduce use of aerosols and use alternative sources of energy to prevent global warming. I could try to reduce gases emitted from factories and make people use public transport instead of cars to prevent pollution. Moreover I could try to make stricter laws and harsher punishments for illegal hunting and fishing; I could try to encourage countries to control the number of trees that are cut down to prevent deforestation. Last but not least I wish I changed the educational system, because this is very important for our evolution, raise awareness about our possible dangers and teach students what they should do. (by Iulia Elena Benga, 16 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power were in my hands I would make the world better. If the worldwill by better, there wouldn't be crimes, thiefs and car accidents etc. If people wouldn't polluate the enviroment, there wouldn't be so much medical problems. I would make people be always happy. With all of these, it would be perfect, but I think these wouldn't happen. (by George Copcea, 16 years old, Student from Romania)
What’s power and who are we to change things in this world? But measures have to be taken to offer better things to our children. I’d like to have the opportunity to give some of my students, the ones who do not have, more than a meal a day, a warm place to turn to and dreams. Our students do not dream anymore, they are sad because most of the time they see just this everywhere – crime, sadness, theft … no family. If I had the power, I would punish, quite severely, those parents who do not take care of their children, who just let them alone and do not offer them the most important thing for a human being – LOVE. (by Mirela Ioana Cojocaru, 34 years old, Teacher from Romania)
If I could change something in the world I would probably end the famine in the world, because I think it is a major problem in the world. After that I would probably do something about the conservation of nature, not only to protect what is left but to expand reproduction of various species in danger of extinction. Another thing I would like to change is the political view in all countries, I’d like them to cooperate not only for the peace and prosperity of their countries but also for the weaker states in the world, to help them become stable and strong countries. (by Raluca Elena Popa, 18 years old, Student from Romania)
We are concentrating more and more on our physical world and we are forgeting how to behave with others, what should we eat in order to stay healthy and how to find our inner peace. Fortunately, there are people in this world who already know how to deal with these problems and they live mostly in Asia. They are the few persons who kept the traditions from their ancestors alive and are still practing them today. Among them there are methods of keeping our body free from any disease, which today’s doctors would find illogical and methods of finding our own way in life, finding our peace and sharing it with others. Should I have the power in my hands, I would use it to spread their knowledge in this world governated by the desire of owning material and not knowledge. (by Mircea Ionut Lautarescu, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
If I had the power to change something in this world I would change the juridical system and I would demand to all citizens to abide the law and who doesn’t obey is to be punished by being fined and the sum of money should be given to the poor. Another aim is setting the base of a Child’s Parliament that should function together with the Adult’s Parliament. We should take into account that children are sincere and just. And finally I would stress the importance of the environment in order to preserve the planet for future generations. (by Nicoleta Zamfirache, 51 years old, Teacher from Romania)
A real problem in our society is the problem of the gypsies. If I were to change something I would change this. I would really integrate the gypsies in society. Our country has a lot to suffler because of them , the image of our people is much too often a bad one because of what gypsies do abroad. I think that our politicians do not take this problem into seriously and that is why this problem become so big. (by Remus Alexandru Mihalcea, 16 years old, Student from Romania)
In my opinion, we should try to change people's mentality about everything, because they need to appreciate more what they have before they lose it. Firstly, children should have in schools special classes to help them generate empathy and team-spirit with the others. Also, mass-media has an important role in changing or making new beliefs. For half an hour, a show could be broadcast to demonstrate what the world would be like without such values as: integrity, courage, ambition, honesty. It is necessary to help not only the teenagers, but also the adults, to learn how to live their lives without doing any painful acts to the people around them. (by Tiana Tudor, 16 years old, Student from Romania)
First of all, I’d give to everyone a friend, a real friend. Then, I’d give enough money to travel all over the world because we have an amazing world that worth to be seen. I’d build houses for everybody and many schools, hospitals. I’d give more money to doctors to cure people of cancer. More and more people die because of this disease nowadays. Also, I’d give more money to search ways to get rid of cancer, of all diseases. I’d bring parents back home because children need parents love. But the most important thing that I’d want to do in this world, it’s to change people, staring with me. My wish isn’t to disappear hurray, the envy at all, but I want people to be a little bit generous, a little bit happy. (by Denisa Iulia Draghia, 13 years old, Student from Romania)
If I could change the world I begin with teenagers. I try to get them to be more polite to those around them and more serious about teacher. Secondly, I try to give those not shelter a house where to live with their families, and I try to help them with money. On the other hand,I want to make people not be so bad,the envious one another. (by Mihaela Florentina Buruiana, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
If I had the power to change something in this world, I think that the best change that I could make consists in more difficult exams not only for the pupils, but for the teachers too. Everyone needs professionals to teach their children. These exams would show that being a teacher is not as easy as it seems. You have to be a master and to make sure that your disciples will learn from you and will see in you a model of character. It depends on us if the future generation is the change we need to progress and turn the world into the home we desire. (by Eliza Maria Lita, 15 years old, Student from Romania)

If I could change the world, I would spin it upside down to create a new world, a normal world where there are no frustrations, anger, lies and aggression. I would stop the wars in the world, for people to live in peace on earth and I would like for all of us humans to find the goodness hidden in a corner of our souls and a powerful light to prevent all evil. (by Andreea Elena Patrascu, 18 years old, Student from Romania)
If I had the power to change something in this world I would start by changing the education system worldwide. I will try to invest as much money and resources in the education of children because they represent the future. Also I will focus on a better training of teachers because they have the role to train, educate and guide children in their future lifes. In countries that have suffered from war, disaster or simply are underdeveloped, I will try a total reconstruction of education system. However, if I had the power to change something on worldwide, I will not focus only on education, I will try to evolve each domain who improve people lives. (by Valentin Busuioc, 19 years old, Student from Romania)
I would adopt a child. Not now but when I grow up. What can bring more happiness to a child who was surrounded by huge bare walls and stiff people from an orphanage than a loving home and family? This will help the innocent soul to move on in life, to become able to take wise decisions and not to follow his mind only but also his heart. It’s a great step for the future of humanity because if one person does it,the people around us will notice it and there is a big chance that they will follow our example. If more responsible people do it, the world will have some less cold and dull persons and more kind-hearted, sensitive and sociable ones because these are gained and learnt inside of a family. (by Alice Ana Maria Predusca, 15 years old, Student from Romania)
I can start by saying that while I was analyzing the world we live in, looking around me, always being alert to changes that could affect the future, I realized that someone had to take the initiative and fight against ''the fear of tomorrow'', that someone had to save what remained of education, culture, industry and everything related to economy but most important, you have to cherish and protect every single person or else those calling the shots will mock everything that remains good in this society in which we live. If I had the power, I would greatly improve the education and health systems and I would provide jobs to all the people as well as better living conditions. Also, I would fight against crime, against corruption and against bribe, all of which contaminate the human mind. (by Liviu Gabriel Ilie, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
I saw a material on internet with scenes from a war zone. I was marked by the poor children. They didn't have books or computers. Theirs toys were only skulls. If the power were in my hands, I would like to change this. To be pace and the all children to be happy like me! (by Daniel Mocanita, 11 years old, Student from Romania)
I don’t need the power to chance the world. Everybody can change the world. One of the easiest ways is to volunteer or donate donate to chairity. It’s not just about working in a soup kitchen or visiting the old flok’s home. Today anyone can volunteer to do anything by contacting the local volunteer organizations and get passionate about a cause. Start a petition, donate money or fundraise. (by Andrei Robert Ciobanu, 16 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power were in my hands, I would like to change a lot of things in this world. If I had the power in my hands, I would encourage people to talk to each other, actually communicate, finding time to see each other through these busy times. I would give people enough money and the security of their jobs, so that they won’t have to go to work in other countries and leave their kids unattended. Families and children shouldn’t suffer anymore. I would find the cure for cancer, Aids and other terrible diseases that kill so many people. In order to keep people healthy, I would forbid drugs and alcohol. If the power were in my hands, I would try to make people happy. (by Simona Raluca Voinea, 34 years old, Teacher from Romania)
If I had the power, I would turn respect into an essential rule/ law that people must obey in order to lead a decent life. Nowadays respect is something that people lack. Society changes quickly and people don’t care about respecting each other. Money comes first and then respect. I think it is very important to achieve your goals in life respecting the others and caring about them. Respecting the others around you means respecting yourself. (by Danut Tanasuica, 15 years old, Student from Romania)
If I had the power in my hands I would change a few things. Firstly, I would like to change the life of poor children who were abandoned. These children too are entitled to a better life, a home and a loving family. I would create education centers that could help children adapt in society and learn how to behave. Secondly, I would build modernized centers for the elderly who do not have homes or have been abandoned by their children. Finally, I would give jobs to all young people, so that they wouldn't be forced to leave the country. (by Andreea Alexandra Boca, 15 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power were in my hands, I would consider pollution one of the most important issues I am to deal with. I strongly believe that humans must pay attention especially to the smallest details, because if we put them together can became a powerful force. We always say we will stop cutting the woods, we will stop throwing garbage on the street and we will create a better environment. The power is in our hands, and only humans can change the world. The pollution damages our health, destroys the animal’s environment and it causes a lot of diseases. We must say stop! The best solution for the human race is to start acting against it. A better future is all we need, don’t we? (by Ana Maria Rosie, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
The world in which we live is different from that in which they our parents were raised If it were me, I'd change almost everything. First of all, I'd change ourselves because everything starts here. There would not be thieves and delinquents, bad people and towns full of rubbish then. I think global warming has utterly affected the climate. High temperatures have contributed to the increase and outbreaks of infection. Then I would think about pollution. I would find a way to store the waste resulted from the industry and would opt more for riding a bike in order to avoid air pollution. Also, I would plant more trees to breathe clean air. So I think I could be more healthy and the world would be cleaner. (by Stefan Bogdan Apostu, 16 years old, Student from Romania)
If I had power in my hands, I would change the world ! I would change everything ! Firstly I would change the misconceptions about physical appearance, social status, secondly the discrimination based on race, sex, religion and nationality. Also, I would make lying, hatred, gossiping, unrequited love, and generally everything that make us suffer dissapear. (by Cristina Chiper, 18 years old, Student from Romania)
I believe in changing from the inside. People should change their way of viewing things, of setting values and developing judgments. Then anything is possible. Our self-awareness connected to world - awareness brings a better grasp of the mechanisms that set this universe in motion. People should also try to have laws and obey them. After all we are humans and humans are known to be the most developed form of intelligence with a strong sense of honour and a deep scale of values. What matters the most is the idea of trying to live in a better world, the idea of working for a change and being superior to your former self. “Never be daunted!” says Hemingway and following the same line I strongly recommend “Never stop dreaming!” Someday our world will be the closest thing to perfection. (by Elena Andreea Smedescu, 25 years old, Teacher from Romania)
I want that everyone who taies to hunt animals to be stopped, so the number of endangered species decreases and I want more natural habitats for some species of plants or animals to be created. Plus, if people chose bicycle over cars and they would give up toxic chemicals from factories they could avoid pollution and they would stop the distruction of the ozone layer that protect us from U.V. rays. (by Dobrea Catalin, 15 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power were in my hands I would like to change in this world the mentality of the Romanian people. They are bad people in foreign countries. They should not be racist to foreign people, to people of different color. That is what I want to change in my world. I think Romanian people should learn that all people are equal. (by Diana Teodora Foca, 13 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power were in my hands, I would like to change the behaviour of the population in my town and country, because people from other countries think that Romanians are worthless, but it is no true. I would like to change their views, because not all Romanians are misbehaved. They have this opinion because some people go to foreign countries and embarrass us. This is what I would do if the power were in my hands. (by Roxana Georgiana Surdu, 13 years old, Student from Romania)
If I had the power to change something in this world, and especially in my country, Romania, I would change people’s perception towards the others. Discrimination in Romania is the biggest problem that I would change. ’’You can`t judge a book by its covers” it is a saying that guides my life. People judge you by appearances, they don`t take the time to open “the book” and read it. Only God has the right to judge us and we, the people accept each other. I think discrimination reduces humanity and makes life empty and without love. (by Daniel Robert Pitulice, 16 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power were in my hands, I would give only healthy food to all the people. I would change people perceptions regarding life in the countryside and I would stop mean people from criticizing peasants who want to overcome their living conditions. I would help all the children that study hard and have big dreams. Another thing, I would build a kind of irrigation system for sub-Saharan African countries that don’t have water as it is such a valuable thing. This way, that will lower the price of petrol oil in exchange of water. (by Ramona Abageru, 15 years old, Student from Romania)
If I had the power… Well, if I had the power to change something I would turn lie into a serious crime. Or, even better I would turn honesty into a serious thing, not just a quality that some people have and some don’t. I think too many problems happen because we lie, starting from the politicians at high levels of society and economy and ending with the common people that lie and cheat because they want to win some money without honest work. “Honesty is the best policy” and we should see that this really happens. (by Giorgiana Stoian, 36 years old, Teacher from Romania)
First and foremost, I would change the mistakes made by other leaders in the past. I would change the notion of time, as we are in constant rush all the time and overlook or do not enjoy many other simple, but important things on the way. I would reduce pollution; I would change the strategies and techniques used in the educational system. (by Claudiu Alexandru Trofin, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
If I had the power all in my hands I would change how people think about certain very important issues around them like education or ecology. This is the main think that makes me be grateful for being a teacher, I can change this so I believe that us, teachers have a big amount of power in opur hands as we can build characters and create future. The next think I’d change is the way that people understand each other or accept each other as today many of us seem to be less and less able of understanding. (by Madalina Enache, 34 years old, Teacher from Romania)
If I were asked seven years ago what I want to become and what career I want to follow, I answered without a thought: medicina. Any girl, small want to be a doctor, particularly the doctor stomatolog. Meantime, things or little changed and certainly will change as priorities may be others. Regarding medicine, not depress me, but today it is very difficult to evolve in this area for the system and corrupt people can prevent youth to remarce. Few who fail to fulfill their dreams because conditions and gaps in the system can not. To management positions, first I put medicine because without her help, mortality would be higher than currently. (by Bianca Nicoleta Visan, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power would be in my hands, I would change the mentality of people. I am fed up of how people blame each other for any kind of mistake, gestures and achievements. I think this is not the way for people to be in front of for what they were created. I encounter this kind of thinking all day long, from people I did never expected to be like that. People's goal in the majority of cases is to make you feel ashamed. This is what I would change. (by Florin Stefanel Cheles, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power were in my hands I would change on how we spend so much time concentrating on this so called celebrities instead of the people that actually do something useful to the world. Our society is so messed up because everything we concentrate on is celebrities and their lives. We need to concentrate on better people like our president or even the people that are trying to create things to help us live and want us to have a better world. (by Emilia Gheorghiu, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power were in my hands I would like to do something that lasts forever. I don’t want to change people, I don’t want to change people mentalities because for that it exists the free will but I want to do something to make them understand that all the changes that we want to be done come from us, from our initiatives. I would like to initiate a program, a society of motivation, a place where you can find your place, your power, your strength, a place where you can find yourself. People need to believe in something, not just in their religion, people need to trust themselves, people need to color their live, nobody deserve to live in black and white. In conclusion if the power were in my hands I would like to show people that life is not black, is not white and it isn’t pink…life is your own color. Stop waiting for things to happen…go out and make them happen! (by Adrian Alexandrescu, 18 years old, Student from Romania)
