If I had the power to change the world I would probably make it a place where people are free to be who they are, to love who they want, to act the way they feel like acting. I would turn this world in a place where people were less prejudiced, where you’re judged by your character, by your morals, by your knowledge, and not by your skin colour, sex or religion. And neither by your sexuality. I would like to see people able to access as much knowledge as they could, to be well-feed, with good health and having a dignified life. And to finish, a world where we would have less corruption and the people would be more empathic. (by Augusto Matheus Alves da Costa, 17 years old, Student from Osasco, Brazil)
If I had power in my hands I financially support more students with good school results to be able to participate in competitions, school project. I would support and Olympic athletes and bringing merits country and we are proud of them. I would give all students to practice immediately after finishing college, offering a service to a chosen field through their heads that the job required experience wants to win. (by Georgian Daniel Subtirica, 18 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power were in my hands, I would give a law to prohibit smoking by the age of 18 as there are more and more minors who smoke and get sick. Parents should also not be allowed to smoke in the presence of their children to protect them. I think banning smoking would be beneficial for the children’s memory and development. (by Bianca Cojocaru, 12 years old, Student from Romania)
I am a teacher. I wish the education sistem would have the same quality in all countries. The world has gifted students, international Olympics, but there are illiterate children, too. Illiteracy must be eliminated or reduced. This thing will be possible only if the differences between social classes disappear, because we live in a polarized world: with rich people and poor people as well. Children everywhere do not benefit the same rights. Poor children do not have the financial resources to purchase school requisites, textbooks and auxiliary materials, others live in isolated areas, far away from schools. There are multiple situations that caused this condition, but there are ways to remove them, too (the allocation of cash funds to this part of the population, integrating parents into the labor market, the economic development of those areas in order to register a population growth). It depends on us! (by Maria Bădoi, 46 years old, Teacher from Romania)
Every year, people throw away over 100 billion tons of food. Paradoxically enough, people from South-East Asia and South Africa are dying of hunger, sickness and children who are born in these places don’t have any kind of education. In my opinion, this thing shouldn’t be treated with indifference and people should be mobilized and change this situation. So, if I had the power, I would try to convince people all over the world to change their attitude towards the annual overproduction and over consumption of food. We should send to all the needy people in this world food, water and medication, things they need for a normal daily life. (by Sandra Roxana Popa, 15 years old, Student from Romania)
I would like the world to be brighter, that all the people had food ( that will be no starvation), that children were healthy. The world could be a better place if we’ ll all work together for the best, for the Good. It woul be nice that we could change also, as many of us, people, the way we think about ourselves, about others, about the world. Instead of thinking that we are stressed out, we coul think that we are healthy, calm, strong and we should change at least a few of our actions- to smile often, to laugh, to help others daily, to pray, to breath in order to relax, to adopt an animal (or a child). We coul be more carefull with nature, I would like that people no longer throws garbage in different places (not where they should). People should act properly in the presence of their children, no violence! No war, no fights! Thank you! Trust yourself! (by Alexandra Elena Ciuperca, 32 years old, Teacher from Romania)
One of life’s regrets is that people didn’t always tell the truth,a nd now it’s too late because the truth has been changed. The truth would make a better world and the truth will make you free. (If there would be no God, there would be no truth. - by me.) Mahatma Gandhi sais that „there is no god higher than the truth” and he is right. If a man would know the truth and his history, he would know who he truly is and what he can really do. Man can do everthing when he will cary the truth with him everywhere he goes. This way he will also cary the blessing of God that will always be with him for the rest of his life. The truth would make a man free and when man is free he will undoubtedly fiind his happiness. If it would be in my power to make this world a better place, I would give people THE ANSWER: 1. The Bible is the answer because God’s words are revealed there in a way no philosophical words will ever give do. They will not give you the answer that in order to understand the world. 2. Truth lives in nature, said Martin H. Fisher (by Gianina Mitu, 22 years old, Student from Romania)
I need an about face from the movement towards plutocracy (in every country) A ban on burning fossil fuels and nuclear energy to be banned all together. And lastly, for a quality education to be accessible to everyone and to make support for that education to be largest amount of spending in every national budget in every single country. (by Carl Rody, 51 years old, CCV Contributor from Arizona, USA)
I would like to get the world to sing i perfect harmony. In other words, international cooperation. Each country would appreciate each others contributions and respect the cultural differences. If the leaders of all of the countries could do that without prejudices, then that would be something, wouldn't it? (by Kat Stearns, 68 years old, Doctor from Everett, Washington)
If the power were in my hands, I would like to try to change the world and I would like to stop all the wars between nations. The most important thing it's the world peace and I would fight against hunger and I want to help poor children of Africa. I would try to create my own organisation to help poor people from nursing homes and the sick children from the plasament centers. (by Bogdan Mihai Ciurea, 19 years old, Volunteer from Romania)
Firstly, if the power were in my hands, I would make people speak. I would help them to express themself, to say everything they think and mostly, I would like to 'teach' the population how to help and also how to be gentle, kind and supportive with each other. (by Cristina Ivanescu, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
Well, if I could do something to make the world a better place it would probably be related to the younger generation, especially the teens. I would start a major anti-bullying campaign (that I would also finance) because I know that this is an important problem in many countries around the globe and it unfortunately leads to an unsatisfactory life and eventually to suicide. Change is not something that we can succed in 2 or 3 days, but awareness is a great start to a great life. (by Matei Florin Catalin, 19 years old, Blogger from Romania)

If the power were in my hands, firstly I would like to change people's way of thinking, their mentality. I do something for the environment because the environment is most important for us, for our health. I would change the way education which also is very important for our future. I do learning how pleasant for all students. And last but not least I help people with everything they need(food, tips, but less money because in my opinion money brings everything bad in people). (by Mihaela Rusu, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
If all the power in the world would be in my hand, I want to do in such a way that no human should suffer because of money. Money controls this world and are ''deathly'' if you know how to get them right. With this power I will give all people the opportunity to be equal, no country, no one will be rich, while other countries are starving! (by David Adrian, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
It is hard to say what a man would like to change if the power were in his hands because there are many despiteful things in this world. It also depends on everyone’s needs or dreams. If he/she dreams about a better world to live in, he would naturally change poverty into wellbeing, wars into peace, sadness into happiness, ugliness into beauty. But there are also selfish people in this world who would think only for themselves and, probably the things they would change would be their personal wealth. Personally I dream to a world where my family is safe and sound, a world where there are no ill people and everyone is free to follow his/her dream. (by Razvan Andrei Girbacea, 14 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power to change this world were in my own hands, I would cure all diseases, I would delete the feeling of greed for money from everybody, I would give jobs to young people and offer a home to all poor children and old people that don’t have one. I would also make dog shelters, green parks, recycle garbage and paper, ban hunting animals and protect extinction. I really believe that if we all try to help the others daily and try to do only good things, we will succeed to change this world in a better one! (by Ana Georgiana Savin, 25 years old, Teacher from Romania)
There are many things to say if we debate the big problem of the world. If I had the power to change something in this world, the first thing I would change is the politicians and then I would forbid gambling. Why do I say this? Because I know many cases when people became victims, they lost their houses and friends. (by Dionis Pelivan, 18 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power was in my hands, I would try to change the perception that people have about education. I would love to support the children, teenagers/ the youth, in order for them to make their way in life.- Especially the ones that don’t come from a wealthy family. Education is extremely important, as it is the key to society. As there are associations for humanitarian causes, there should be an international project dedicated to young people that wish to study in different countries supported by a common force. The children are our future. They are the next generation of the society. The way we “feed them” will determine the way we will have them. I had the chance to study in 2 different countries- In Denmark and Romania. And yes! There is a tremendous difference between these countries in every way. I can only be ashamed of the way the Romanian government is managing the educational issue. There is a saying in Denmark “It is better to invest in education then in jails.” That is a good point of view. I hope for a better education, for a better approach and for a support in children’s educational life worldwide. Let’s not waste money, let’s invest! (by Radiy Fatima Danielle, 21 years old, IT Consultant from Romania)
If I had power I would make the laws tougher, because in my opinion some punishments that murders receive are too easy. I think I that way we can reduce or stop the crimes and thefts. Another big problem in our world is educational system. If I could, I would offer the opportunity for the poor childred to go to school and maybe become someone in the future. I would pay a particular attention to education providing social and merit scholarship. (by Mihaela Catalina Manea, 15 years old, Student from Romania)
First of all, I would try to combat all corruption as to make a better and a safer society, and never the less, world. I would procure to all citizens who desire to work but can not find anything, a place where they could do that because once people have where to work the economy of a country prospers. Also, in order for everything to be safer and eliminate the possibility of a disastrous war, there should not exist any kind of radioactive weapons, nuclear bombs or too harmful armament. This struggle for power that has existed since forever, even through it has determined some changes (that were not always good), has brought more tears than joy for something that will eventually fade away and we will not have peace as long there is ignorance and disdain among us. (by Teodora Vieru, 18 years old, Student from Romania)
If power were in my hands I would change every heart to 'love' ... Not as the world sees love, but as our spirits who in reality are capable of true love. To change all hearts means a better world: Compassion, comprehension, understanding, non-violence, etc ... We would think twice about war, poverty, riches, human power: We would turn our selfish ways into loving ALL people no matter what our skin color or religious beliefs would be. Our hearts would become the power of the world, ending ALL evil. If power were in my hands, we would all become caring, loving, kind people ... Money in the hands of 'those whose hearts are full of love' would be used to help ourselves, and not to destroy other lives nor nations: Money becoming the 'the route of all good'. If all hearts became 'love' itself, our dear wonderful world would change ... I will therefore start with 'me'. I will not wait ... I WILL become love being an example for all that I meet...I will NOT wait! (by Odile Lyllian Crenshaw, 65 years old, CCV Contributor from Toulouse, France)
If I had the power to change something in this world, I would definitely choose to give every single person on Earth a chance to have a better life, by offering them things that they may have never had. You may wonder why; but, a place with no suffering, wars, hunger, disease, poorness, malice is a place where people are simply happy, they do not have to fight in agony for anything, where evil does not have any option to survive. My power would not be a supernatural one, but it would surely make an unbelievable environment where we could be able to grow up our children and do things like walking down a street, without feeling pain or fear that our happiness could be ruined in the next second. An useful power for a better world. Let’s do it, human beings! (by Anca Teodorescu, 18 years old, Student from Romania)
In the first place, if I had the power to change something in this world, it will be to create and fully support a global campaign for discrimination, alcohol and drugs. In the other hand, I'll recruit volunteers from many countries for expand the groups of people to carry on my concepts and ideeas and also, to develop them and in their turn to recruit news volunteers. (by Cristian Tudor, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power would be in my hands, I would like to change and improve the following main issues: Limited access to electricity: I think everyone on this planet should have access to electricity and the opportunities that come with this access, Poor treatment of animals: We really need to change the way society treats animals; Bullying: it becomes more and more aggressive and we must do something on this respect; the shortage of jobs: right now, people need jobs, they have kids and it is essential for their health, social relations and financial purpose, Public education: Every child deserves a good, free education, I would want every person to have access to a quality education, from kindergarten to doctorate programs. Moreover, I wish that everyone could just be a bit happier with themselves. (by Mirela Cristina Calin, 29 years old, Teacher from Romania)
