I’m not the most important person in the world, and for many people, I don’t even exist. Also I see a lot of sadness around me, people who leave and come while watching at the bottom of their shoes without any smile on their face, or children with tears in their eyes because of hunger and cold. If the power of this world were mine even for a day, I would change all these. I wish to make happy every person from Earth. Children from third world countries would have food, a home and they’ll go to school, people could work and they would have enough money to live decently and the most important I would stop pollution and invasion of nature which is our home, actually the source of our life. We must change ourselves, and then this could be seen outside, in the world we live in. (by Cristina Elena Pantiru, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
Nowadays, some countries on earth face both small and large problems. One of them would be the attacks of stray dogs on the streets. I live in a country which faces this problem, and the solution was chosen to euthanize these stray animals . I believe this is barbaric, so I decided to take action and tell the world there are better ways to solve this problem. I propose to organise rallies for fundraising or charitable performances. The money raised can be used to buy land outside the cities and to set up shelters for these dogs. Thus, we can reduce or even erradicate this problem in some countries of the world and people would feel safe again. If we put this plan into practice, we will feel much better with these animals. (by Teodora Iulia Oancea, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power were in my hands I would probably not know where to start, but it will be something that I would change. Because I am more of an environmental friendly person, recently I have found a way to solve the energy crisis. There is a very smart couple that invented the solar panel road, more resistant than tarmac. I would certainly fill the world with those solar panels even if it requires a high amount of money to cover this, but we will be living in a better world. (by Cristian Brinzei, 16 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power were in my hands, I would stop the wars, I would try to help the poor countries, so that there wouldn’t be so many children dying of starving and I would distribute the power, thus wouldn’t someone be more powerful than others. I would try to make equality to be really applied. (by Ancuta Emanuela Ioja, 31 years old, Teacher from Romania)
We live in a world where people have lost track of time. They don’t know what it means to enjoy nature anymore, to socialize or to have a nice dinner together with their family. It is alarming to see careworn people, people who are always in a hurry and don’t have time for themselves, for their family or for anything else but work. They seem to have forgotten what it means to spend a nice day in the outdoors. Moreover children do nothing else but eat, play phone games, computer games or surf the internet. They suffer from obesity and they develop behavior problems becoming irritable and gradually withdrawing into the artificial world a computer offers. They are a lost generation living in a hazardous world. If could I would try to make people understand the importance of having a healthy lifestyle. (by Gabriela Mihaescu, 32 years old, Teacher from Romania)
I am only a child but I am not afraid to say that the power lies in the hands of those who do not do anything to make a difference. Were I to possess the power I would not think that losing my future is like losing an election or a few points on the stock market. I would think about the starving children around the world whose cries are unheard and bring a smile upon their face. I would think of countless animals dying across this planet because they have no place to go. We cannot afford not to be heard. I would think of the planet we live in as a place where you cannot go because of the holes in the ozone. And I would certainly take steps so that we should not be afraid to breathe the air because we don’t know what chemicals are in it. Every morning I would wake up thinking that if we cannot change anything then why should we destroy what it took thousands of years for others to create? (by Daria Alexandra Mirea, 13 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power were in my hands, I would like to change the world in two directions. Firstly, I would create a proper educational system, infrastructure and industry in poor countries such as the Africa ones, mainly because of the resources they have and the population that could work instead of living in poverty. My second solution for a better world is using the unconventional energy to replace the sources that pollute the environment, mainly because the Sun offers the Earth enough energy in a day to supply the energy used for year. But I consider that this thing can be done even if the power were not in my hands, but it is not in people’s vision. (by Marian Lupascu, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
If the power were in my hands, I would invest money, energy and training in family development. Firsly, I would have engaged couples attend pre-marital counselling in order to teach them how to communicate effieciently and how to have a clear perspective on marriage and commitment. Secondly, I would have soon-to-be parents take parenting courses, explaining each stage of the child’s development beforehand, giving them a clear perspective on what is about to happen and equipping them with the necessary skills so that their children would be raised with family values in a loving and beneficial environment. This would reduce divorce rates and its negative impact on children, moving the focus towards their well-being. In this way we would definitely make the world a better place. (by Oana Stefanache, 29 years old, Teacher from Romania)
If I held the power in this world, I would take care of all the problems of humanity: famine, disease, and war crimes, and I'd make sure to meet three important principles: liberty, equality, fraternity. I would give each person all the means necessary for a decent home, food, communication and information. I would try to show them how they can all live more simply, more true, more real, closer to nature and feelings. I would abolish money and destroy all the banks in the world, to live in a world without money, and only trade objects. The war and hunger caused by fights over natural resources would disappear completely. (by Ana Maria Jitea, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
There is a lot of waste around the world. People usually buy more food than they need, and a big part of that ends up in the recycle bin, although in Haiti a lot of people die of starvation. Therefore, if the power were in my hands, I would try to integrate a program which controls the amount of resources each person has. This assures that each citizen has just enough for a good living. This idea sounds like the thoughts of a dictator, but I`m sure that if people understood the gravity of the situation, they would accept it. (by Stefan Lunganu, 16 years old, Student from Romania)
Power is something special and it’s wonderful to be able to change the world with a only power. Firstly, most people have enormously rage and anger, because they have a stressful job. The problems at home and at or do in that moment and we create trouble with those around us. Secondly, if I had the power, I would to make everything easy, I would to create a wonderful world with love and honesty. I want have respect for every animal and help everyone hurt. In this world many mistake are made that we could repair just by having good character. (by Miruna Oana Pantiru, 18 years old, Student from Romania)

If I’d had the magic wand to change what I want, the power of doing something for the world we’re living in, I wouldn’t wish to change anything material. I’d change conceptions, the wrong ways of humans in which they see the world. I’d show to those that thinks this world is getting worse and worse every day and they’re feeling like there’s nothing to do, that the change is in each of us. The power of this world is in us, and everyone can do something to make Earth a better place to live. I’d erase from the souls of our peers jealousy, hatred, envy, pride, selfishness and I’d put there love. We’re created from love to spread love. And we should be aware of that. (by Cristina Elena Pantiru, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
I think that the world first problem is the fact that the difference between rich people and poor people is huge. So if the power were in my hands I would want to have a balance between these two in order to create a world where all the people could afford the basic things and even a little more. People around the world should be able to pay, for example, for a vacation or to offer their kids the things they want because there is nothing more hurtful for a parent than to say ‘no’ to their children. So, in my utopia there are not extremely rich people, undeveloped countries, isolated places, homeless people nor starving children, but an equilibrium of the budget for every family or individual. (by Andreea Ilie, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
The world today is full of imperfections; full of people who, for their own amusement, would hurt the innocent ones, full of powerful people who think the world belongs to them and act in consequence. There are many things that I would like to change in this world if the power were in my hands: for a day, I would turn the world upside-down; the ones who have the power today would exchange places with the poor ones, this way they would experience each other’s life and in the future, hopefully, they would appreciate life more than before. Then, I would give a law that entitles people to travel freely in their own countries, for them to get to know the natural beauties of their own country better than those from foreign countries. (by Denisa Elena Oancea, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
I would like to change the character of people. I wish people had a heart full of love. Why? Because if people had a heart full of love, Evil would disappear. We would not watch news about kidnapped children, rapped girls and other bad things that kill the trust. If people changed, they would put family first instead of money. Changing the world means we must first change ourselves, those who want to change something in the world. Change comes from ourselves. After WE change, we can change the world! (by Roxana Larisa Enachescu, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
We all want a better world , a world without addictions , theft and disease , but very few people do a little effort to try to change anything in this respect. A first step would be the cultivation of common sense , the most important wealth of life that many people do not possess . In the past the man was not dependent on anything until callousness and greed came , they led to the money that time made the world people be addicted to it and buy the necessities of life . As the world has become increasingly dependent on money, some people who got their slaves started to process some products to cause addiction, turning into vices. Thus even today, and especially nowadays get money constantly and increasingly more from around the world from these products. Today man has countless options about spending money , which was not true in the past, yet another reason to increase the desire to have more money , which can lead to thefts , murders and scams . To change one bit better world will need to live our lives in harmony to enjoy it because it is more important than any vice or wealth. (by Felix Ovidiu Balint, 18 years old, Student from Romania)
If I had the power in my hands, I’d like to change some of the bad things that occur in this world. I would like people to stop fighting and killing each other for stupid reasons. I would like to have the power to make people better communicate, because sometimes words are the source of misunderstandings. I would also like to help save the planet by reducing the amount of energy we use, reusing things and recycling all kind of materials. So, if I had the power, I’d have some interesting ideas about how I could help. (by Nicoleta Toarba, 34 years old, Teacher from Romania)
”Children are the live messenges that we will send to some ages that we will never see.” From my point of view, in this world most teenagers who become parents for various reasons come to abandon their children, who then become “victim” of the most backgrounds. I would like to change this, making teen parents take responsibility for their children. I want to make them understand that abandonment would mean that later the child becomes a delinquent because of the entourage in which he enters. I want these children to have a better life, creating an institution in which to debate this issue, and change parents ideas, thinking about when they were children. But if the problem still existed, I would like to give the children an education, a place to sleep, and later, when they are ready for a job, to earn a living, and the world would be like I wish! (by Patricia Andreea Marcu, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
The world we live in can suddenly turn into a ball. It’s weird to watch with naked eyes as everything is falling apart. We got to kill each other for money and power. The music industry is run by the enigmatic Ray Man, and we have come to worship him unconsciously. Many of the biggest stars in Hollywood have made a pact with so-called Ray Man. Currently, talent and intelligence are inept against those with ”relationship” and money. Even childhood is not what was formely. Children of today live surrounded with gadgets and adolescents reduced its life consuming drugs, tobacco and alcohol. It what look on the young girls, some resort to prostitution for support their families. If I held the power in the world, I should be God. I believe that the world in perfect, no one could change people’s wickedness and fault. “Do not let the world change you, there is a place for all of us. (by Carmen Madalina Grigoras, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
This world is a good and beautiful place if we know how to handle all the problems that appear in our lives. If the power were in my hands,I would change the way education is seen nowadays by most of our children. I consider that education is perhaps the most important investment a country can make in its people and its future. That is why it is a pity that books are forgotten on a dusty shelf and the new technology takes place in the mind and heart of our young students. (by Mihaela Andreea Grigore, 36 years old, Teacher from Romania)
If the power were in my hands I would replace the technology with the real human interaction, I would bring in the foreground of the human existence her vital dimension, namely the essence of what we are: Being, Love. I would fill the world with music - the supreme art. Because it recomposes us every time in all we have essential, vital. I would make people understand that happiness is life itself. If the power were in my hands I would spread harmony, peace and love. And I would bring God in the hearts of all people on Earth. (by Mona Laura Ploae, 48 years old, Teacher from Romania)
Everyone in this world wants to change something about their lifestyle, or something he can benefit from. Generally, people want money and a good life. If I were in this position of changing anything in this world, I would start with poor people or the homeless. I would create new jobs for every person that is capable of working so that people could pay their rent for their new house a lot cheaper. Secondly, I would promote the writers and their books. I think it is very important to read, that will make us more educated and smart. Thirdly, I would try to help orphan children. The procedure to adopt a child is difficult and it takes a lot of time and that makes families give up. That kind of things would make the world a better place. (by Madalina Georgiana Rotaru, 17 years old, Student from Romania)
